The University of Surrey has been awarded a considerable grant from Sport England’s Movement Fund to resume their Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programme led by Carly Pearson, Active Wellbeing Manager Surrey Sports Park (SSP). Hooray!

The programme will once again provide a pathway from pregnancy to beyond, with greater variety of sessions, for a longer period of time as we strive to support women in our less advantaged areas.

Dance Mama is thrilled to have been invited to take part in delivering the dance element of the programme. Lucy (left) and Laura (right) will be leading the a class each per week.

Read on for information about the FREE classes available (yep, you read that right!).

Book via Surrey Sports Park's Team by emailing:

Dance Mama Moves

(For Mums with babies up to 9 months)

Mondays, 10 – 11am and 11.15am - 12.15pm

from 23rd September, Bellfields, St Peter’s Shared Church, GU1 1NP

Dance Mama’s specialist and experienced Lead Dance Artists (Laura Harvey and Lucy McCrudden) will lead you through these fun and accessible movement sessions aimed at postnatal women with their babies in tow. This supportive class will include a safe and effective warm-up and cool down, moves to an uplifting playlist that will help support your recovery and build your activity levels as well as give you the opportunity to be expressive through dance. Whilst the focus is on the grown-ups, all caring needs (e.g. feeding/changing) will be given the time and space needed during the session as we help you move through new parenthood.
